NEMATOCYST Movement Workshop
Facilitated by JAS LIN and HEARTHEALER
ORBITWARE will host NEMATOCYST Movement Workshop – a sanctuary to journey, surrender, and play, facilitated by choreographer/performance artist Jas Lin and DJ/producer Hearthealer (on tour from Los Angeles). Through writing prompts, guided movement meditations, and embodiment tasks, we experiment within an open container and cultivate our collective embodied freedom. By releasing oppressive choreographies of the learned body, we dance the possible into being.
In this two-hour class, LA-based artists Jas Lin and Hearthealer will accompany their performance as a guided movement exploration with live music– a creative container with the freedom to explore, experiment, and play within trance, surrender, and spontaneity.

Jas Lin 林思穎 is a performance artist, choreographer, and movement facilitator from Los Angeles. Their choreographies, films, and workshops have been shared around the world, including at the MAK Center for Art + Architecture, Danshallerne Copenhagen, Power Station of Art Shanghai, MOCA Los Angeles, NOWNESS ASIA, and Mitski’s Laurel Hell Tour (featured in the New York Times, i-D magazine, and A24 zine). Jas believes movement to be a manifestation and actualization of potentiality– that together, we can dance the possible into being.

Hearthealer (Los Angeles) is a DJ, producer, and writer who crafts world-building sets with an intentional and dramatic storyline. In Los Angeles, they host Broken Blade, an underground fantasy party. Hearthealer is currently in production on a rave based animated series they created with the studio behind Castlevania and Adventuretime.
