ORBITWARE will host a series of workshop with LA-based artist FITNESSS with focus primarily on the subject of utilizing Ableton Racks and Bali-based versatile DJ Mairkilla on basic DJ techniques through a demonstration and discussion. Taking place at TEMPAKULTURA as a creative space partner, the workshop will be held on January 5, 2024 from 4 pm until ends.

In this two-hour class, Bali-based versatile DJ Mairkilla will focus primarily on basic DJ techniques including utilizing rekordbox, selecting tracks, mixing, transitions and FXs through a demonstration, discussion and practice.
This workshop is open to everyone with a beginner or no experience in using DJ equipment.

Bali born and raised — DJ, dancer and drummer, Maira Yamanaka aka Mairakilla is one of the most exciting acts in Bali with her ability to carry a wide range, rapid rhythms and energized bass sets with aesthetic expression — with influence drawn from anime culture and console games. Born as Japanese-Indonesian from a dancer mother and a DJ father, Mairakilla is an artist driven by hardwork and dedication which then leads to her natural and organic versatile talent.

This workshop is aimed at Ableton Live users with an intermediate experience of music production.
