ASEP NAYAK
Asep Nayak is a photographer and musician from the highlands of Wamena, West Papua, known for his musical works which have released more than 200 videos on his YouTube channel “Asep_Nayak”. Starting from his passion for composing Wisisi’s music at FL Studio, which he self-taught, Asep produces his own DIY music with unbiased, rough and easy-to-listen musical contexts, with tracks darting at breakneck speed into the ultimate rocket dance vehicle. Asep Nayak’s funky Wisisi breakthrough has changed the landscape of Asia Pacific pop music, provoking the emergence of other Wisisi musicians, particularly from Papua.
KASIMYN
Kasimyn, a.k.a Aditya Surya Taruna, is a Tanjung Priok born, Bali based music producer, DJ & Amateur Researcher. He’s currently making music as Kasimyn, Hulubalang, and also with Gabber Modus Operandi. International tours have spanned over 25 countries with both G.M.O and as a DJ, across respected experimental music festivals and forward thinking club scenes. Kasimyn worked together with Bjork on her newest album Fossora, and is also founder of Gorong-Gorong Music, a label focused on presenting Futurist forms of Indonesian music with a twist.
KIMKHAN
A raw aesthetics attitude combined with retro-futuristic digital synthesis make up his personal soundscape. Euraisian American producer, multi-instrumentalist, rapper/song-writer. His unique and enigmatic audiovisual mythology reveals the diversity of his cultural heritage.
MAIRAKILLA
Bali born and raised — DJ, dancer and drummer, Maira Yamanaka aka Mairakilla is one of the most exciting acts in Bali with her ability to carry a wide range, rapid rhythms and energized bass sets with aesthetic expression — with influence drawn from anime culture and console games. Born as Japanese-Indonesian from a dancer mother and a DJ father, Mairakilla is an artist driven by hardwork and dedication which then leads to her natural and organic versatile talent.
PLAUR
Bali-based DJ, producer and multi-disciplinary designer, Bagus Purwoko aka Plaur found his niche in the underground music scene from a vast range of global influence via the internet. He spent more than a decade working in the local music scene pro bono which later brought him to connect with people in the communities. He is known for his extensive blend of contemporary club music with a knack of harmonic pop twists on his DJ sets.
